THE FOOD BANK Foundation (BANC DELS ALIMENTS) recognises Integra2's collaboration.
For yet another year Integra2 participated in the “GRAN RECAPTE” on the 25th and 26th of November 2016.

The Gran Recapte d'Aliments (Great Food Collection) in Catalonia is a campaign to collect basic foodstuff in an aim that the people most in need around us receive food aid.  It also helps to make what this group is going through known, which is worsening as a consequence of the current economic situation.  The campaign is conducted simultaneously by Catalonia's four Food Banks.

It is estimated that 20% of the population in Catalonia currently live in poverty.  These people require our solidarity and organisational capacity in order that they do not become marginalised, and it is to this aim that this project was set up by the Food Banks, which has now taken place for the 8th year.

The 2016 Great Food Collection managed to collect 4,374,000 kilos of food throughout the whole of Catalonia, and since the 1st of December this has started to be distributed to over 235 thousand people via the 700 social welfare organisations the Food Banks collaborate with.

Integra2 collaborated by providing lorries and trailers during the days the goods were sorted, helping with the logistics and transport of around 2,800 pallets of food that were received at the Bank's warehouse at the Parc Logístic de Barcelona.  The Foundation gives its thanks for this and the company wishes to give a special mention to the team of collaborators at Integra2 Barcelona, who carried out this gesture and took part voluntarily in this great charity event..
