Servicio Gourmet
Food products under the best conditions. Integra2 is currently the transport operator with the best distribution network for products from the food and agriculture sector.
The company has more than 2,000 client accounts from this sector who entrust us with their deliveries, throughout the food and agriculture supply chain, on a daily basis, from the producer to the wholesaler, retail distribution, the MERCAS and HORECA channel, to the traditional point of sale.
In many cases, the responsible transport of food and drink means the control of the temperature of the products during distribution.  Integra2 guarantees that the cold chain remains unbroken from the moment the package picked up enters into the transport chain until it is delivered, adding value to high-end gourmet food and drink products such as wine, cava, chocolates, pastries or cakes.  The I2GOURMET service carries out this transport at a controlled temperature using refrigerated vehicles.
With regard to other kinds of food products, such as packaged ready-to-eat fresh and prepared foods (salad, vegetables, ready meals, cooked meats etc.), the optimum temperature range during transport is between 0ºC and 5ºC.  In order to achieve this, the FRIOPAQ and URGEFRIO services are used.
In order to carry out this transport, both a wide distribution network and a large fleet of vehicles (more than 1,000) are required, integrated into a guaranteed and certified cold chain.  Side doors have recently been installed in order to allow faster unloading of vehicles and reduce increases in temperature at those delivery points that do not have loading bay seals and warehouses with temperature controlled pre-storage and storage areas.  Special insulation has been added to these doors in order to better maintain the temperature when the vehicle has stopped and is in the process of unloading.  Double evaporators have also been installed in the long distance vehicles in order to create different temperature zones within the trailer and also optimize space on routes without affecting service guarantees.
Our investments are focused on the control and monitoring of the cold chain, CCQI (Cold Chain Quality Indicator) certified for the whole chain by DNV-GL.
